Welcome to the LHIN Collaborative (LHINC)

Enhancing the System Through Collaboration

The Local Health Integration Network Collaboration (LHINC) was created in 2009 as a way for the Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) – to engage health system leaders, sector associations and the LHINs collectively on system-wide health issues throughout the province.

LHINC plays an essential role by supporting provincial dialogue on key strategies, assisting the LHINs in responding to emerging issues and ensuring the adoption of leading practices across the province.

How does LHINC Work?

  • By supporting system dialogue and facilitating engagement of key sector associations and health system leaders
  • By improving utilization of limited resources and expertise across the system and providing a central hub to deliver tools and resources for sharing knowledge and leading practices among LHINs and across the system
  • By enabling a collective voice and supporting LHINs role on system issues, including patient-centred care, quality and sustainability
  • By providing centralized project management support for a full range of pan-LHIN initiatives and provincial projects
  • By enabling the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to more effectively draw from the expertise among LHINs.
